Where are all the coats?

Has anyone noticed that despite all the heavy rain and thunderstorms that have been around for the last few weeks or so people all over the country appear to have some perverse aversion to actually wearing a coat in this weather? It is mainly young people that tend to do this. They seem to have a very poor memory, not being able to recall the fact that on previous days there have been terrible downpours at different times of the day, or they take weird pleasure in getting their clothes drenched, or they are just plain stupid and do not care that they are getting caught in a torrential rainstorm. I witnessed during an awful pavement-bashing onslaught of hard rain two teenage boys on bicycles who were not even wearing shirts! What madness is this? As you can see above even the Invisible Man wears a raincoat!

Missing staple lets murderers appeal

Metric Martyr

In 2004 Steve Thoburn of Sunderland tragically died in his wife's arms following a massive heart attack. He went to the grave a criminal... his crime was to sell a pound of bananas. After two appeals against the conviction, both of which were refused, the sheer stress caused the fatal heart attack at the age of 39. So technically he died a criminal. Now the EU has agreed that Britain can keep our pounds and ounces after all, so Steve's wife, friends and supporters have a campaign going to ask for a Royal Pardon.
